Chelmondiston Household Waste Recycling Site
A Public Meeting at Shotley Village Hall to discuss the future of the Chelmondiston Household Waste Recycling Site is to be held at 7 pm on Wednesday 23rd of March 2011. Lisa Chambers (Suffolk CC Portfolio Holder Waste) and Mark Deer Suffolk CC HWRC Service Manager will be present as well as local County, District and Parish Councillors. This is an important meeting because closing the recycling site could bring about serious adverse affects for the Shotley Peninsula.
Have you registered your protest against closure of the Chelmondiston HWRC at the e-petition site yet? The number of signatures now stands at 2301 and the target is over 3000 with some 19 days to go. If the target is reached Suffolk CC will have to review their decision to close this facility. The link is:
