THE STOUR AND ORWELL SOCIETY FIRST AGM

The first AGM of the Stour and Orwell Society (SOS) is to be held on Thursday 22nd March at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club starting at 7.30 p.m. This will be an important event that will mark the formal founding of SOS. You are cordially invited to attend. Please inform any of your friends who may wish to support SOS – a large membership base will strengthen our voice in issues with which we become involved.

The interim officers and committee members are all prepared to stand for re-election. They are:

There is limited car parking space so those who will attend may wish to consider sharing their cars with others.

The Interim Committee has discussed the matters of the constitution and membership subscriptions. A draft constitution is shown elsewhere on this site. The recommended level of subscriptions is £8 per annum for individuals and £10 per annum for a household. The constitution and the membership subscriptions will be debated and formally adopted at the AGM. If you are able to attend the AGM it will be helpful if you would come prepared to pay the appropriate subscription on the night.
