FORUM 2008

The Stour and Orwell Estuaries Management Group is once again holding its Forum on the Shotley Peninsular and will focus on "Access and the Estuaries". The provisional programme is as follows:

• Welcome - Jerry hindle (Countryside Manager - Suffolk County Council)

• Findings of 3 years of research into the impact of recreation disturbance on birds in the Stour and Orwell Estuaries

• A review of the environmentally sensive sites on the estuaries

• Coastal Access - the latest information on future legislation

• Work of the Estuaries management group over the past year and progess on the Scheme of Management and Management Plan review

• Short updates from members of the Estuary Management Group

• Question and answer session

• Close (1.00 pm)

The event will commence at 9.30 am for a prompt 10.00 am start at Shotley Village Hall, The Street, Shotley IP9 1NL
